Not everyone is willing to uproot their families, leave family behind, leave good jobs, good climate, and geography. I’d love to leave but my wife does not. The other states don’t want us and honestly can’t blame em. Ca is the greatest state in the country but has the worst politics.
I did all of those things, yeah, it’s hard, but it’s 100% worth it.

I agree with you, it’s the best chunk of land in the country. Problem is the land is completely covered in shit now and it’s only getting worse.

Best decision we ever made for our family was to get out. Would highly recommend freeing yourself and stop making excuses.

Hmmmm I wonder why companies like SILENCERco, SILENCER shop, SILENCER central, etc… exist. And I’m pretty sure the technical term on .gov documents call them silencers.

If anything it seems like suppressor is slang more than anything but not a legal definition.

I had a guy at the range call my silencer a “moderator” I was like bro, shut the F@&j up.

You can't legislate reality to your liking. The technically, scientifically correct term is suppressor. Silencer is the slang term.
Technically, if we are being pendantic, muffler is the scientifically correct term. Suppressor, well what does it suppress? Velocity? Flash? Intelligence? Free speech? You have to say sound suppressor or you are just using shorthanded slang. You can argue with reality, but that is a fools errand, or a politicians and between those two I'd rather be the fool than the insect.

From the view point of educating the general public, suppressor is also an ignorant choice, everyone is familiar with mufflers and their function as a polite tool to protect from noise, but generally not to make things stealthy and dangerous. The pontificating wokery of the "it is a suppressor" bit is old. The woke idea that changing a name is all that is needed is also old.

If anyone is thinking they are going to overturn the NFA the second week of January, you will be disappointed. We need to take a page from the other side's playbook and (incrementally) go after the low hanging fruit. Currently, that seems to be basically what is in the Hearing Protection Act: remove suppressors from the NFA and treat them like a firearm (FFL, 4473, etc). Call/email your senators and reps to voice your opinion.

As far as getting them legal in the deep blue states, good luck...

We'll see, they had a chance in the first 2 years when Trump was president. They could not get it done. I hope they do it this time around. 4473 is way better than a tax stamp and a year wait.
I’m trying to remember anything they did in those 2 years? Forest service funding was cut and roads/trails are noticeably worse. They put half the country on paid vacation that ruined half the high country lakes.
