There is a screw on the 3x9 SWFA power ring. Can a stud be threaded in there to make rotating the ring easier?

Someone recently posted that an M4 thread will fit it. I need to try it; $35 a pop will add up for me on throw levers.

I'm interested to hear what you come up with. I was wondering the same thing.

I have a giant cable tie on all mine, cut the tail completely off and just use the bump left over for my thumb. I wanted something more low profile than the available levers and did it as a test (thinking they wouldn't stay), but they are still there and work well.

The power steering pump in my tractor has a slow leak. So every few weeks I have to twist the cap off and add fluid. The cap is original, so almost 50 years old, and pretty slick. Probably 5-6 years ago I took a large zip tie and pulled it tightly around the cap so as to have a nub for my hand to twist against. It's stayed on and served well and if I had to replace a zip tie every 5 years, I can live with that.

Point being, I like your zip tie idea and might try that myself.

Just got the below response. No stud but I do see the mk machining throw levers are 20% off.

There is not a lever stud for the SWFA SS 3-9X42 but there is a company making throw levers for the SWFA SS 3-9X42 scope. Here is the link: https://www.mkmachining.com/product/swfa-ss-3-9x-hd/

Thanks for this, ordered one... I've been just dealing with it but with 20% off might as well. $20 shipped.

The mk machining levers do not work for me because they have a lip that drops behind the power ring- to the adjustment threads for the diopter. My diopters are all adjusted nearly in, so the mk machine levers get in the way.

Not sure if anyone saw but mkmachining has an updated throw lever design posted for the swfa scopes. Sounds like more compact and textured grip. Spendy though!

The $15 one from Monstrum works better and feels nicer.
