I had a pair of Lowa Tibet GTX's that failed on me after 15 months and started leaking like a sinking boat. Lowa would not do anything for me and told me the boots had outlived their "useful life". Which was comical as the boots had a ton of obvious life left in them.

I picked up a pair of the Western Guide boots from Cabelas, have put about 100 miles on them this elk season and could not be happier. Hunted in a foot of snow in Idaho all last week and stayed warm and dry. The LIFETIME WARRANTY on these boots makes them untouchable by any other boot IMO. Check them out!

I may do just that. Im traveling for work and there is a Cabelas a few doors down from my hotel.

They did not fit my feet well. They were a rather "raw" feeling boot for me. They definitely needed new inserts because i checked to make sure that they weren't missing. I have the hardest time finding boots that work for me.

I agree with these comments wholeheartedly. Pretty much every Lowa model fits like it was made for me with the exception of the Tibet. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel.
