Cabela's Silent Hide good enough?

I'm a cheap skate and was wondering if the cabala's silent hide system is good enough to serve as rain gear? I know it's not the latest or greatest, is thicker and heavier than much more expensive versions. Just wondering if it is reasonably durable and will keep me dry. thank you.

I have some old Cabelas dry plus, worked well, if it has their membrane I would say your good other than Alaska.
