We are heading to the Yukon Delta region for a 25 day moose hunt in 2021. We hunted with Renfros in the same area in 2018 and witnessed first hand how valuable the Cabela's Alaskan Guide (4 person) tents were in the high winds and constant rain of that area. The 4 person tent was tight for 2 of us. We are going back with 3 guys and want to bring our own tent. We are thinking about the Cabela's Alaskan Guide (6 or 8) or the upgrade to the Cabelas Instinct Alaskan Guide (6 or 8) tents. We know we need at least the 6 person tent and wonder if even that is enough for 3 guys to be stuck in a tent on cots for a couple of days. Does anyone have experience with the Guide / Instinct Guide tents with three guys?
One other consideration is that if we bump up to an 8 person, does the additional height represent a liability in high winds?
Thanks
Jack
