Cabelas 80L Commercial Dehydrator

Any of you have experience with this unit? I'm looking at getting one, but dont want to waste $300 if I can help it. Thanks

Have you read the reviews on it? I looked at it before when onsale but numerous folks said it doesn’t get up to higher temps (jerky) and dries inconsistent. I decided to put an Excalibur 9 tray on my wish list instead which are well regarded, woot had a great sale on them recently so I finally upgraded to one. Just did a huge batch of banana chips and tonight loaded in 10lb of strawberries. I was pleased with the uniformity on the banana chips so far. TBD on the strawberries and no jerky made yet but so far it kicks butt compared to the circular cheaper unit I had. Also the flexible screens come off the support trays and are easy to clean esp if nothing dripped through into the support tray.

We have one. We have done fruit and jerky with it so far. No complaints, I haven’t experienced a temperature flux at the higher temps.

I filled every tray with jerky and everything came out perfect. A whole deer minus the backstraps.
