The second weekend of the season found me still trying to help my cousin tag a deer. After some morning glassing we found a bear and no bucks. We headed to another ridge that had good amounts of bucks on the T-cams. While making our way on the south side of the ridge I spotted something shinny and stopped. I got my cousins attention and had him come over to take a 48 yard shot at the buck. He missed high and the buck took one jump and started to feed. I had to re-position and found an opening through the trees to get off a 50 yard shot. First tag punched of the year.
