i typically do not have that issue. it is kinda how i shop. i bought my truck from a guy that was "saving the miles". i just bought a knife from some guy that thought it was too nice to tarnish.
my truck is high miles now and has that nice desert patina. my first expensive knife i used it exclusively to butcher turkeys..i did falter at the side of a dead hog that we shot out of a mud puddle. that grit would have ruined the edge.
i'm going elk hunting soon. i am bringing one knife. the knife that was "too nice". i think i'll knock off that new knife smell.
my brother just paid $400 for a 300 WSM that the guy thought was too nice to take into the forest..wow!!
you save stuff? or just use it? (there are some nice knives in this group)
