I always tel my wife…tonight’s dinner was 2 dollars…tonight’s dinner was 3 dollars. She just rolls her eyes. I know the meat in the freezer isn’t “free” but it sure seems like it when I go down and pick out a package of wild game!

You should talk to your local farmers, it's quite a bit cheaper than everywhere else. We sell beef by the 1/4, half, etc. Our steers were sold commercially for years right to the big packers. So we were paid by how well the cattle graded (choice, prime, etc.). Our herd genetics and feeding program promotes a high grade carcass. My wife sells by hanging weight, but last I checked it came out to $6.50-$7.00/lb for meat cut the way you want. We raise pigs in the summer and I think ends up around $5/lb.

All I'm saying is contact one of your local farms that has solid references and you will not be disappointed. You'll probably save a few bucks aswell.

We did Hello Fresh and a couple others...I think one was Fresh Choice...

Its a great concept...and was good for awhile.

But the meat at Costco is better than all of them -especially that Omaha Steak outfit ripoff
