Burris 4x 3-12 56

I’m debating getting the Burris 4x 3-12 56 scope to put on my new tikka t3 30-06. Has anyone tried these scopes and what do you think? Is it capable of shooting out to 400-500 yards. I’ll be mainly using in the mountains. Thanks

I have one on my varmint gun, a Remington R-15 in .223. I didn't have to worry about cheek weld height due to barrel clearance with the way the AR mounts are configured.
But on your Tikka it's going to be in higher than usual rings and I'm afraid it will affect how you get behind the scope, and will be somewhat top heavy upsetting the nice balance you would have with a scope that has a smaller diameter objective.
That said, I dial it to 600 yds for coyotes and it will work great in the mountains.
I really like mine.
