Thoughts on this scope? Was trying to find one. Mainly wanted it for more clearance without using extra high scope rings.

I don't know what kind of rifle you're trying to scope, but I run 40 mm scopes on just about every rifle I have and I use low rings on every one of them. What do you need the extra clearance for?

It's on a m38 6.5x55 swedish mauser. And it was already drilled and tapped for scope when I got it. The old 32mm that used to be on it would clear the safety. Just thought I'd try another 32mm scope without needing to add higher rings or modifying the safety etc. I haven't shot the rifle in years. Last I looked at this scope it was available, but that was a few years ago.

I picked up one of those lower end Burris scopes for my muzzleloader last year.
After a day at the range getting it sighted in, it developed a weird bubble, seen in the top right corner.
Luckily it was brand new, the store returned it, and I did not have to deal with an exchange with the manufacture

Sorry to hear that. I have a burris 4.5x14x42 e1 on a ruger american 7.62x39. I like it but haven't shot it enough or had it long enough to speak on how well it will be long term and obviously not a muzzle loader. I was looking at that particular scope for the mauser because I thought it had a decent power range for a 32mm and at least should be a step up from some of the cheapest scopes
