Bullets : Lead vs Copper

Some folks, like me, shoot the Barnes bullets because they shot well in my rifles.
Others don't like them. The first thing I look for is accuracy. If I can't put the bullet where it needs to go it doesn't matter what bullet I'm shooting.
My hunting partner uses nothing but Barnes, from antelope on up through elk and moose. I believe that keeping the impact velocity between 2,000 fps and 3,000 fps will yield the best results. All of my rifles have the Barnes bullets exciting the muzzle at 2900 fps to 3,000 fps. I then calculate my maximum range based on bullet velocity down range.

To add:
Copper gives more penetration than a similar cup and core bullet. They are a very good bet for elk and moose.

Just shoot into the shoulder, not behind it. Copper works fine if you hit some bone to open it up.
