Agreed. CF is an incredibly efficient workout that builds real world fitness as well as mental toughness. Most people try it once or twice and then quit because of tough workouts. Don't listen to all the treadmill bashers- there is definitely a place for treadmill workouts (but I agree- they suck). Try building up to being able to walk at 4.0 on a 10% incline with a loaded pack. Start slow and build up and if you stick with it you will get there in no time!
- Google "burpee" and build up to where you can knock out 100 in under 20 minutes then try to get that time to under 15 minutes.
- Sprint for 1 minute on the treadmill followed by walking for 3 minutes. Do this for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week
- Put on a heavy pack and go hiking around your neighborhood
- Eat healthy! This can't be emphasized enough. If you put crap in your body then you will get crap back out. A healthy "diet" like a Zone is the one I prefer.
Good luck and don't quit! Each time you are ready to quit on the treadmill then make yourself suck it up for 60 more seconds.
