That is nice. How many bows are you able to hunt with at the same time? Still shooting my bow from the same era - it's done it's job every time I have done mine. I have not seen a need to 'upgrade' over the last several years. To each their own! Good luck this season.

O man that is the one bow I really regret selling it was my first flagship Bow I think I had a true glow single pin maybe even a whisker biscuit I can’t remember the quiver but it was deadly with beman hunters and nap nitrons that bow killed everything I shot at. I shot it up till 2013 or 14 and haven’t kept a bow that long since

Got my stabilizer in this week: a 6” Limbsaver Modular. I saw a few in some of the older pics I looked up of SBXT’s. Spent a few hours re-confirming pins 20-60. What a great shooting bow! I also got 6 arrows re-fletched all white for hunting with this. All 6 hit inside a 4” circle with a 100gr 3 blade Muzzy. Going old school with the whole setup and can’t wait to smack a deer with it. I like to think Mathews named it Switchback because that’s the sound it makes: “switch” “BACK!”

Managed to break in my "nostalgia" bow on a pretty good Georgia Mountain buck yesterday. Thank you Lord for the opportunity!

10yd shot with a 100gr Muzzy 3 blade. He was head down quartering hard to. Broadhead went through the neck, cut the top of the heart, through a lung, and lodged in the gut. Had maybe 4-6" of a 29.5" arrow sticking out as he ran off. He died within 50yds. Great hunt and my biggest bow buck!

I still have my old SBXT with all the original Acessories that I had put on it. All good stuff too. I didn't go cheap. I took it into the shop I bought it from recently to have custom strings put on it and the owner was beside himself saying it looks brand new. I took real good care of it.

I still hunt with mine. Purchased new in 2007? SBXT has hunted three continents and will never sell it.View attachment 637607
That's awesome! I keep trying to find one of those cases for mine. There's one on ebay, but the guy wants $120 plus shipping for it. I've offered him $100 shipped and he won't take it. Truth be told, if I'd bought my Switchback XT back in 2006, I probably wouldn't have my V3 31. That'd probably be ok.

I’m shooting 300 spine GT Black Labels, mostly because that’s the arrow I already used with my V3 31. It flies great out to 60, so I didn’t see a need to change.

Great bow, I’d put my switchback in top 3 bows over the last 30 years of bowhunting. Seeing a Switchback come back to life makes me smile. Here mine from back in the day, wish I still had it

[...] I've always regretted that and wished I had bought the Mathews Switchback XT everyone was recommending at the time.

So with that said, I'm keeping my eyes open for one in good condition. That said, how would you have outfitted a new Switchback XT in 2007? I kind of want to build it "period correct" if you will. What sight, rest, stabilizer would you have on it?

If it was me in 2007, it would be an HHA or Cobra slider, Whisker Biscuit, and a Doinker ... Qwikee quiver...

Lots of other good stuff from back then, though, LOL ...
