The A-bolts are hot garbage for the price. Ruger American smokes it. Better trigger, better aftermarket support, more accurate.

Haha, been there. My father won one in a raffle a couple years ago. I did everything I possibly could to make it a decent rifle. But the best thing that I did to it was list it for sale.

I love my Knights UL. Thing is way more accurate than a ML has any business being.

Im new to the whole ML thing, other than shooting one a few times as a kid. Is there a learning curve to the knights compared to a cva, or more traditional one? I was looking at the knights ul after all the bad reviews on the accuras.

It's the first ML I've ever owned and I've found it super easy. Load development was simple with Thor bullets and Blackhorn 209. I wanted one that would be legal in as many states as possible.

Sweet! The more I read and hear about them, the more I am convinced. Im in Colorado, so Ill be looking for that as well. Thanks for the info!

Thanks everybody! I sort of figured most would recommend a Tikka. They are fine quality rifles. They need to be because they`re saddled with Beretta USA service. Without question, at least according to internet input, maybe the worst in the industry.

As I stated in another post, the preponderance of "regular " hunting rifles I see at our local range are Savage Axis IIs. At least with that very limited sample, the owner/shooters I`ve spoken with have been very happy with them.

How often do you see a Tikka being sent in for warranty? A bolt gun is a very simple tool. I have had a ton of rifles and shotguns in the past 40+ years and have never needed a warranty for any. Multiple brands, cheap and expensive. Buy with a reputation of the rifle being a shooter, not how great the warranty dept is.

If the Axis works for you, buy it. Sportsman's Warehouse sells them with scope for 350 bucks.

I'm not sure I could break a Tikka if I tried. IIRC, I think after like 40,000 rounds, @Formidilosus finally broke one.

Tikka makes a really nice rifle, I’ve personally never been a big fan of savages. I know plenty that own them and like them, I’m just not one of those people.

AB3s are garbage. The original A-Bolt and A-Bolt II on the other hand, are quality rifles.

I won a Tikka 3x lite in 6.5 creed at a gun bash. Store credit was 720 .I took the gun. I will probably put a Leupold vx5 on it.
