Budget Scope recommendations?

Looking for a scope to put on my tikka t3x 22-250. Not looking for anything crazy expensive since it will not see a ton of use. Looking to stay around the $400 range max. Down the road it will get good glass but for now, doesn't need anything special.

Came across that one and seems like a decent deal. Any thoughts or other scope options are appreciated!

With many of the manufacturers having incredible warranties for the life of their products I'd keep my eyes on the classifieds sections of this and different forums like it for good clean used scopes because I think you could get a much better scope for the same money.

That Vortex will work, just don't expect it to be great at the top end.

I think europtic has those for $319...I was tempted.

I’m pretty happy with the Bushnell Nitro that you can find for $199 pretty much everywhere, but they are not light. Leupold Freedom is another budget scope I run and like quite a bit that is lighter.

Myself and a few friends have had good luck with the Redfield line from Leupold. We have really beat the crap out of them. Those are less than your $400 budget though.

Ill second this. I have three. Have had great luck with these for a budget scope. plenty of eye relief and can be got for about half your $400 budget or less. Then when it's time to upgrade , you can sell it pretty easy.

Don't don't don't get a vortex

I agree with the poster who mentioned Meopta. Cameraland had a nice deal on a Meopta Meopro 6x42. Awesome scope and would be great for a flat shooting 22-250 without being too heavy on a lightweight Tikka.

Have you had issues with vortex scopes?

Take a look at a lightly used nikon monarch UCC, very clear and amazing low light capabilities

AAoptics has refurbished sales usually 2-3x a year. Great prices on high end optics, lots of vortex. The next one will probably be around march-april.

What is the intended use? Target/bench shooting? Truck gun for predator control? Tree stand or blind hunting? Dedicated antelope hunting rifle?

Bushnell Legend Ultra HD, I bought 6 from Natchez when they were on sale this spring. Less then 1/2 price at the time and reviews were good or I would not have taken the chance.
