I could see that being a pain, the rough country looks nice for the money though, especially for a hard shell. I’d consider the wedge, but my family is pretty tall and I’d leave it on my truck most of the year so durability and sleeping room are the biggest factors for us.I had a Rough Country XL with the vestibule. It was comfortable for 2 adults. Used it for 2 years and sold it. Bought a Kodiak 10x14. It was difficult for me to set up the roof top tent because my Ram 2500 sat up so high w just a level and 35" tires. If I bought another RTT it would be a wedge style that I could set up and take down by standing on the tailgate.
