I'm looking for a budget down bag for springtime turkey hunting in the mountains. What are yalls suggestions? Looking to spend $150 or less if that's possible.

I'll vouch for the Kelty Cosmic Down 20.... I've had mine for over 3 years and it still treats me well. I paid $85 for it, it weighs under 3 pounds, and keeps me warm down to the teens with a baselayer and tights on. It's one of those pieces that I want to upgrade, but kind of enjoy not having to stress about treating it gently... I.e. my Western Mountaineering Summerlite, or Sea to Summit SP1.

I bought a Kelty Cosmic 40 for September lightweight hunting trips when temps are generally pretty warm. So far, so good! Got it on a pro deal for cheap so it was a no brainer. My feet have a tendency to get cold, so I always pack some down sleeping booties. Works great!

Check out steep and cheap as well. I'm 5'5 175lbs and just bought a women's Kelty on there. It's plenty wide and I don't need the length. Lighter and cheaper than a comparable men's bag.

I've had two Kelty down bags for around 15 years and both still see use each year. Pretty good bags for the price.

Look into a company called Outdoor Vitals. I have their 30 degree bag and it is fantastic. 800 fill down bag with YKK zippers and i got it Long as Im 6"1" tall. fits very well and it was around $120 new from their website. They arent very large or well known. They sell directly to the consumer and make a very good product. I took the bag on multiple trips this winter and it surpassed my expectations.

You didn't give any specs, but IMO you wont do better than the REI Igneo which is 40% off right now, and comes in under $180.

Its an UL 19 degree bag designed to compete (AKA copy, IMO) with the Western Mountaineering bags, which is one of the best UL bags out there.

I bought a Kelty Ignite 20 about a year and a half ago for around $150 through Promotive and have been really happy with it. It has Dri-Down and weighs in at 2lbs 12oz. it also compressed down fairly well for me in a dry bag. Its obviously not as good as some of the more expensive bags as far as weight but for my budget at the time i felt the price outweighed the cons.
