Just some pictures for wintertime browsing. I know things can get heated in the rut but was surprised to find a dead buck in the woods behind my house late november. I generally have a camera up there, and found this buck dead 20ft off my camera. Lots of coyote tracks around him and assumed the local coyote pack got him. I was surprised when I took the camera down to see pictures of a nice symmetrical 4x4 plowing him through the snow. He died right where that buck left him, that's where I found him. Ending up cleaning up the head for the kids, they thought it was neat. A really interesting wonky little buck. I think he just found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time on Nov 24.

I thought they would be feeding during the day time? Night is naturally colder. This is was just stopping by to say hello.
