After hitting two deer in less than a year that did 3-7k in damage each time (thank God for insurance) and being without my pickup and hunting rig for a month a pop (Just barely missed season both times but too close for comfort) I am entertaining the idea of buying a grill guard or having one built. I know pickups like mine are pretty popular as hunting rigs, so roksliders…What say you?

I’m open to virtually all suggestions. There doesn’t appear to be tons of options out there at first glance, and if I’m going to buy a kit I think I would prefer to hire a friend who’s a pretty talented fabricator to build one from scratch.

Just for fun, I’ll attach a few pictures of the damages.

Coastal off-road is the best imo. It’s weld-it-yourself, but great approach angle, winch cradle, and overall look.

I have a friend with a brute force fab bumper. Those are great too. Lead time may be a little longDSC05902_edited.jpeg

I do like the looks of that one. Maybe a little more open space than I’m looking for, but I feel it has to hold up better than the last two factory bumpers. As you can see from the pictures, they didn’t fair too well.
