Browning (new) A5 experiences

I was in same position and ended up ordering the A400. I liked the feel and fit of the a400 over a5. I have never had any issues with gas shotguns.
Which model and gauge?

At both Western Hunt Expo and the SCI Convention, the Beretta folks were only guessing at a the weight of the models. If you have a 20ga Upland or Explor, could you share the weight?

Always found the argument about gas vs recoil reliability and need for cleaning to be a bit of a nothing burger.
Cleaning a modern repeating shotgun after a hunt takes much less effort and time than plucking and cleaning a limit of ducks.
Perhaps when the Remington 1100s were the pinnacle of gas guns. Not that there's any mystery to keeping them reliable either.
I like the A5, both the modern Italian seasoning version (it's a Benelli recoil action) or the original recipe. The Japanese made versions may fit me better than any other factory gun. For a field gun they are great.

I have the 16 lighting and it is a joy to carry and shoots well. I have struggled to get it to patern well though. I have never wounded as many birds as I do with it. Like 80%. It is a bit better with a truelok imp mod but still not great. I am dumb founded. As I love the shotgun, but hate that I cant kill with it. Tried all kinds of loads too. Any ideas would be appreciated. I want to get the 20 for the wife, but have some hangups with the pattern density issues I have seen with my 16
On my browning that is back bored with invector plus chokes, i do really well with the extended Carlsons that stick out of the barrel an extra inch or two.
It patterns remarkably different than my shotgun that takes Winchester chokes. Compared to the win choke system, for me it seems like if i graphed the results of one size to the next of invector plus chokes, the graph would be a parabola instead of a diagonal line. I think they did this intentionally to tune these guns to improve shooting performance. Sometimes with a certain load you need to try to find a sweet spot, a low modified, modified, and improved modified seem to shoot the same with some lead shot, and seem to shoot worlds apart with some steel shot loads.

For what it is worth. I have an A400 Explorer in 20 and love it. Light and very manageable recoil even with Turkey loads. I really like that I was able to adjust the POI to my liking. I got this when I returned a new Benelli that shot 5-6 inches to the left no matter how I adjusted it. I took it back to Scheels and they took it back but basically wouldn't let me get a new Benelli, seem like this was a known issue, so I go the Beretta and no regrets.

I am also more of a gas guy due to it being less recoil.
