Through stupid user error I busted my bottom cam for right hand switch while working on the bkw... (MSW-BR is the part stamp).

Any chance someone has one laying around?

Miission is closed and my shop says I'm looking at at least 4 to 5 weeks to replace.

All I can tell you is what I got on missions support line message yesterday, and what I got calling two different shops... They all said, people working from home, reopening end of month, so a week or two from then.

Hope you are right, but not what I got straight from Mission and two shops as of Saturday 5/16.

As a Mathews dealer I can assure you that they are open. They just need to call Mathews and order the piece.

OK and this is a mission (and mathews) rant, nothing against you OR- I'll say that I hope you are right and the shop I got to order the cam yesterday is dead wrong, and Mission ships the part tomorrow and not at the start of next month... But there is no way I'm buying another bow from a brand where I'm required to either leave it at a shop and/or I can't get parts myself without convincing a shop to mail it against the rules.

I know I'm going to be a small minority, but I'm a big DIY person and getting "locked out" of doing my own repairs, getting parts, etc is really frustrating. I won't accept it in a car, a rifle, or a computer, and I wish I had known when I bought my bow.

I've lived remote long enough to not be OK with that, plus knowing that I'll be screwed if I'm traveling and need parts. /end rant

Join the club. They all do that. I needed shins for my prime and they require it to go through a shop. They won’t send them direct either. It is the way it is as they say.

Mathews and other pro shop bow companies protect their dealers. Yes it is unfortunate that sometimes you cannot ship a simple part but in whole it's what keeps small pro shops in business. I would ask your shop if they had another switch or hammr if they would disassemble a new one to get you going. Most will some will not but its worth a shot.

I lived in AK for a while and even when shops were open the wait time for parts from my local dealer was minimum of 3 weeks. I couldn't imagine trying to get parts for a bow bought from a place like Sportsmans. I always had new parts on hand in my garage for just such a problem I usually had another bow or 2 just for backup. If your living remote you need to have a backup plan or two.

This is what I was hoping for... (from the "friendly" local shop that needs protection). Instead, was told that wasn't an option and they wouldn't order the cam unless & until I brought the bow in, and they had to do the repair... I told them if they wouldn't at least order the cam ahead of time, there was no way I'd agree with that, especially since I can't get it there for a few weeks from now. Disappointing - if that's what it takes to stay in business....

Not going there again, that is for sure, especially after paying full msrp and then some for the bow, arrows, accessories, etc.
