I’ve lived and worked construction in the whitest states in the country, and on every construction crew I’ve ever worked on or been around, racism is alive and well. It makes me laugh when anyone suggests otherwise - they either are blind to it, or choose to deny it. The west was full of different races after the civil war - Chinese railroad workers, emancipated slaves, Mexico recently extended clear up to Wyoming, Basque sheep herders, and every other ethnicity looking for a homestead. Junior high history books used to have photos of a lot of brown looking guys hanging from a noose - cattle rustlers was always the excuse, but there’s no doubt lynchings were alive and well throughout the west. Traditional history books omitted a lot of the dark side, as well as the accomplishments of minorities out west. The reason the whitest states are the still the whitest states today isn’t because tan folks don’t like the climate, it’s because people get tired of the racial jokes every day, being the last to get hired and first fired, getting less money for the same job, never getting promoted, or always getting the crap project to work on. That’s not even counting having property vandalized, or drunk guys looking to fight anyone that doesn’t look like them.

Operation normal - it probably won’t change anytime soon.

When I read the OP, I never thought this discussion would turn racial. The world can be a shitty place, but we aren't going to debate all social injustices out there.

Rokslide is a forum focused on hunting and hunting gear. As such, that's what discussion topics should remain keyed in on.

Sorry I didn’t share the dialogue that made by “assumption” painfully obvious. The fact that you jump to it NOT being based on race is funny though. Like the country never had a history with racial issues, and we’re all just fine now.
The reason I said that is because I have a buddy here in PA who killed a deer on public ground and had it stolen by two guys after they confronted him. They didn't beat his ass because he was smart enough to realize two against one wasn't a winning formula. He was white, they were white. They weren't racist, they were just assholes.

Regardless, this whole narrative your pushing is race baiting, social justice warrior BS. The US isn't as racist as you're making it out to be. Instead of listening to CNN, go outside and actually talk and interact with people.

This is 100% true I’ve been in the trades for 25 years and totally agree.

Take that with the fact people in the construction industry are very likely to also be hunters the overlap in there

Entitlement breed jealousy and hatred. Make everyone equal and they're just people....entitle them and the cycle never ends.

At least there's no extra credit for being flamboyant anymore.

Everybody is equal. Just some folks think they are special. Other folks dont give themselves enough credit.

Im deaf and folks been trying to look down on me for my whole life. Won’t let them. Just keep on keeping on.

The only person who can stop you is you.
