Braggin Board for Fishing!

It’s a nice fish, annually we get a dozen or more over 30”, but most of those come in September. We are out in King Salmon, Pendleton in the fall and winter.

You did well and bear trail is still a good outfit. I’m located just below the flats, 1/2 mile. Bear trail is about 8 miles down river.

There are definitely some pigs on the Naknek! You know Jim Young and or Chip Henward? Chip hasn't guided in many years, but he still owns a cabin there on Pike Lake, and he was just up visiting last week.
I’ve been introduced to Chip, by Cecil as I recall. Jim young is having a hard time, health sucks. Talked to him a few days ago, said he’s hanging it up after Silvers, moving to America.

Salmonchaser, if you ever make it to southern Oklahoma, the winter time is best for the big ones. Give me a shout if you are ever down this way.

After the king salmon, these were my 2nd largest catch by species -- a 36 lb. (L.) & a 32 lb. (R.) lake trout from Toobally Lake, Yukon Terr, circa mid-1980s. I don't have any of my slides scanned, so these are scans of not-so-hot snapshots my host had on his FB page. The biggest now hangs on my wall

I came across this very old & poor image of the biggest laker above as it sits on my wall. The overall width of the doorway is 5' with the top above the angles 3' wide. This is a skin mount which I painted myself.

Something else I didn't mention was my other big 33# laker fromt Great Bear Lake, NWT. I had the skin of it and one of the big King salmon in my freezxer awaiting a trip to the taxidermist. The freezer went belly-up while we were out fo town. After we arrived home and my wife first opened it, the smell almost caused her to fall over.
