I've shot bowtech bows for a while, but swapped to a mach34 this year. I discovered that the bowstand I've used in the past doesn't work on the mach34 because the limbs are too wide where it's supposed to clip on.

Does anyone know of a clip on bowstand that'll fit my mach34? I don't want one that is semi-permanently on (e.g., screwed in behind the stabilizer). Just the bat-a-rang style that folds out and clips on the limbs. Suggestions appreciated!

By too wide, do you mean the limb thickness?
Or the overall width of both limbs?

Works with limbs upto 3.25" wide, will adjust for limb thickness, pretty popular around here.

Not as adjustable:
Works upto 3.125"

What I use, probably not what you are looking for, but I like it.
The bow stand, permanently attacches to limbs, legs pull out. I leave it on while shooting, remove to put in case. Used it on my hunting bow thus year too. Putting the mount close to the limb pocket doesn't effect anything.

Thanks Billy Goat. I'm not talking about thickness of the limbs, I'm referring to the distance from the outside of the left part of the limb to the outside of the right part of the limb. The one I have is like the TruGlo you posted above. The jaws just don't open far enough to get around the limbs. I may give that top one above a try- it looks like it would work.

Thanks much!

Not to make you defend why you don’t want legs that you screw on behind your stabilizer, but have you tried them? I initially thought Mathews or Hoyt’s limb legs were kind of a gimmick, but I’ve had bows with legs from both, and I think they’re great.

I’ve got clip on stands for my target bows, and I think they suck compared to the screw on legs (especially for non-target style bows). I’ve dealt with the legs not being wide enough for the limbs, too. I’ve found that even the wide model legs often slip or twist, and they make it so your cam has to be a point of contact. Having your cam in the dirt or the cam dinged up on the bottom isn’t the end of the world - but those leg systems make it a thing of the past. Plus, they don’t affect the shootability of the bow, aren’t in the way in the slightest, and are very convenient even when on uneven ground.
I shoot with some guys who shoot PSEs, and use Cutter legs. They like them a lot.
Anyway, you know what you want/like - but just thought add my comments because I didn’t immediately see those screw on legs as a benefit, but now wouldn’t go without them.

3forks- thanks for the reply and the thoughts. My rationale probably is dumb, but the truth is that I just don't use them very often and I don't want to add any weight to my setup. I know the weight is fairly minimal, but I don't see a reason to carry it when it will be "dead weight" 99+% of the time. If I used them more often, I'd probably go the route you're suggesting.

Also, I agree that the type you're talking about is more stable and mostly just better than the temporary stand I'm talking about. But, I'm ok with that! If I used them more, I'd definitely give your suggestion a try. But, I don't and, as you say- I like what I like!

I use the stand during turkey hunting and for a handful of deer hunts from a blind each year. All other times, I just don't see a need for them (for me and my usage) on my bow.
