I have had issues with the LCA and the service was just to sell me another at a discount, pissed me off.
I have at least 6 scales, my preference is just a regular spring scale. It's pretty easy to check and isn't subject to different pull cycles. I have a short 70# spring scale that I like to use on my draw board. I don't usually shoot past that weight anymore.
I spend more time figuring holding weight than max weight anyways.

I should clarify, this was new old stock. Had been discontinued close to a year, guy I talked to on the phone seemed to laugh about it. Said where did you find that, we quit making that a year ago. Like it was a decade ago. I told him Lancaster.
I think LCA generally makes good products, but I haven't much cared for any of their electronic scales.
