Looking to get a stainless Tikka Bolt nitride coated to match black action and other metal parts.
Anyone have a recommendation for the work? Any downsides to this?

I was just going to ask this exact question. Did you ever follow through with getting your bolt done?

I had H&M do my Tikka bolt body. Came out beautifully and shoots great.

H&M is a bit interesting, they don't really advertise that they do consumer work, but they totally do and turnaround was one week! I agree with above, do the action, too!

Well, technically they did it, and a barrel, for free when I paid $500 to have them nitride a 45mm cannon. Yeah, that was an adventure! LOL.

I think they do everything as a custom quote, but I believe I've heard people say about $100 for a barrel, and a bit more for a receiver. I know, not super specific, but that cannon was a huge PITA for them and $500 for that, an AR barrel and the bolt body was a bargain.

Haha! I love it. Ok I was looking to have an action done. That’s why I asked. I emailed them already yesterday prior to seeing this thread.

H and M gave me a quote on a "serialized firearm package".

I called them and the custom rifle guy sent me 2 PDF's with everything they expect you do do and send in with your parts.

I plan to send them everything that sticks to a magnet on my rifle when I get the barrel prefit. No aluminum, no titanium.

Here is the reply I got this morning. I guess I won’t be doing it as I just need the bolt done. My action is Cerakoted already.

This tracks with what I was told.

I just didn't want to be the guy that posted the price.

I'll post some pics of before and after if anyone is interested in seeing that. My prefit is supposed to be here in 6 weeks. I'm going to shoot the rest of my 308 ammo up, pull the barrel and send everything and a barrel to them.
