I need to look at my links on blaserbuds.com and see if I can find more options for Blaser carbon fiber stocks in Europe. I messed with the FBT in their factory in Austria last November, but I am not 100% convinced this is the solution. Looks good though.

For comparison, same lenght Blaser barrel w Contessa picatinny rail.

It works and it shoots. However the lower picatinny seems to occasionally interfere with case ejection.

Feedback from gunsmith was "plain job, but did my own measurements..." (as opposed to following included dimensions)

243 reloads w Barnes 95 LRX works as expected

I was just eyeballing the new Professional 2 model and looked for the Jäger but it's not showing up on their site or EuroOptics . Did they discontinue it?

What's the trouble with the one piece?

The “receiver” that is I let and bonded in the stock is too wide, and goes so far back, that there is little material left in the wood stock at the back corners. The worry is breakage. But, inletting that the wood stock for the receiver took WAY more time than anyone would have guessed, and it will be silly expensive if done by hand. So doing it by hand and then beating on it to make sure it will hold up isn’t realistic. He is waiting on someone to CNC the wood stock for the receiver and if/when that happens then he’ll be able to make sure it will be strong enough.

The R8 is a fantastic platform as is and doesnt need that goofy looking stock on it.
That’s my opinion too. Blaser (L&O Holding) is a 1.7 billion dollar company. They can probably design a pretty decent stock in their R&D Dept. rather than some unskilled amateur's working out of a garage . You can read about the most basic of problems already.
