Yes I'm a baby! Only been hunting for a few years so I ain't got the breadth of experience many roksliders have.

The mighty-08 hasn't let me down yet in the seasons I've been able to connect with deers so far!

First few years I was shooting nosler partition bullets, haven't been able to find those easily since the pandemic other than the stash my old man left behind so I've switched to hornady vmax and SSTs for the time being. Got some hornady cx as well but I dunno if I'm gonna get serious about mono bullets unless I actually go to Cali or other places that ban lead projectiles.

Actually gonna be using slugs this season as I got an opportunity to hunt on one of the islands in WA where it's got firearm restrictions limiting to archery, muzzie or shotguns.

If you were stuck slug hunting would you go 12 or 20 gauge?

Every one I’ve killed was with a .357. Either the lever gun or 6” wheel gun. They’re harder to sneak up on than they are to kill.

Sneak up on? I thought everybody shot them from 1k yards with a 223?

I use a 300 wsm for my higher country stuff where shots are longer but Im trying to get one with my 44 lever action if I can get one at work
