Black ovis is back… well kinda

Just wanted to post to say that like the OP, I also know the guy who bought this inventory, and he is a solid dude, good as they come. He is ambitious and wants to bring good hunting deals to hunters, and the leftover BlackOvis product was a good place for him to start.

Reminds me of someone I know who started in a basement, setting out to do the same thing a number of years ago...

Anyway, give him a shot if you see a deal he offers.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for that comment. He is a good dude and he will be a great steward of the hunting industry if he’s able. He learned a lot from you

Why not list it all instead of dragging it out 4 things a week? Pretty lame...
Probably not his full time job, listing thousands of dollars worth of gear would be very time consuming. Obviously they're starting out with what they can (single handedly) manage logistically while attempting to keep things cost effective. Most big cattle ranchers started with only a few cows. Good for him I say, sounds like an American do some pretty American shit. Pretty cool country we live in ain't it?

Great comment and that is all true. He is trying his best to please everyone and I am helping him where I can but we both have jobs and families. We promise that we are trying though and we see big things coming if we can make it through this initial phase. We thank you all for the support so far. It has been overwhelming. We both love the hunting community.

So you have a vested interest? Makes more sense now….

I’m so glad you love the hunting community. That’s so sweet of you.

What is your problem? If you do not like it, do not buy it. It is that easy man. We have been extremely polite and operated in good faith. I do not have any money or vested interest in the company at this moment. I may be a part of it soon, I may not. That is up to the owner. He and I have been friends for years. I am helping him because that is what friends do. Maybe consider doing something for someone other than yourself if you find it that hard to believe that someone would do that.

Guy bought the gear to sell, because he either wants to get the gear we miss into the hands of hunters or to make money, or both. Either way does it matter? We have now confirmed its not a scam and items are arriving as expected. Can we just move on from this nonsense now? I for one will snatch items up if something catches my eye. But to each their own, pretty simple really

Exactly. If you don’t like the business model, don’t buy anything. As said above, it’s a pretty American thing to do, and I hope he succeeds. Besides, I miss Camofire.

It is both. He definitely saw a business opportunity and took it but wasn’t going to fool with it until he saw how many people still wanted Black Ovis gear. It was a bit of both. The best things tend to be where both parties are being helped. He’s helping hunters get Black Ovis gear again (and at great prices) and he’s making a little money as well. Businesses do not operate for free. There’s no point in taking the risk if there is no upside. Thank you for your logical, common sense take on this. We genuinely didn’t think this would even be controversial but there are some very negative people in the community it seems.

Totally agree. I expected people to be jumping for joy. Which im sure most are that likely BO reasonably priced gear. I understand it being both. Only makes sense. I wouldn't do it for free either. Its still work and you should be compensated. No doubt hes invested some money into this venture. Wish him the best

I agree. He forked out a significant amount of money and is fairly young. He took a big risk and he deserves to be rewarded for it. Thank you for your support!

Who cares the motivation, it's always good to have more "stores" selling more stuff and more options to choose from.

Honestly I’m not sure. I think so but I don’t think he ever gets online much. He is not really into social media either

edit^: Of course he's a member here but that's a good thing. He gets online enough to build an eCommerce website lol.
