There were a couple other Asian suppliers on the list, not just that one.

No idea what a typical bankruptcy filing looks like but the claim of $500k to Kendall without a category and the personally assigned credit card with a balance over $100k stand out to the unfamiliar eye.

Yeah, it sure looks like he racked up some charges, collected all the airline points in his own name the dropped half a million in unitemized losses as a personal tax write off. Maybe this is normal, but the optics sure aren’t good.

The optics are it looks like fraud and with a chapter 7 it will almost certainly be investigated through that lens.

I'm not saying anybody is guilty of anything, I'm just saying the chapter 7 documents alone contain more than enough red flags for a subpoena to produce personal finance records from both CEO and Pres.

Not a fan of ElkShape but you can tell after watching this video that BO has screwed him over so bad financially to a degree that he probably never thought he'd be at. Gonna have to sell his house to pay off the studio he works in and then figure out how to rebuild. Has no money to hire a lawyer to recoup, otherwise there's no doubt he would. Seems like this whole thing is going to hurt all the small businesses and guys like Kendall Card and the big companies will make out just fine. At least until the feds get wind of what happened here.... Then the heads will roll.

He said BO 'fronted the $ for his stuff', so I dont see how he is on the hook for ALOT of $$ owed to him. Did I mis-understand that? Sounded like the 10% commission was a decent inflow of $$ which is now gone. ??

Ya there flagship store in downtown Denver still has life to it but the surrounding area stores are dismal. Pretty sure Sierra is killing rei here, at least for clothes and common gear.

I think thier big store in downtown Portland closed also, but that whole city is dismal.

If one visits several different sites, It’s relatively easy to associate different income levels, personal preferences, behavioral patterns, etc. to each site. You get the impression that a particular site is made up of mostly high school or college kids with minimal disposable income. They are not going to buy an Olight, when they can find a light for $15. Other site members may not be into speculation or gossip. And there are those that don’t shop in the bargain basement for less than the best.

I havnt ordered from Black Ovis in years. Just happened to try out a pair of boots a few weeks ago from them and then return, arriving back to BO on the 20th of October. That was an expensive pair of boots to try on. Doubt a refund is coming.

Yes, he said BO bought, advertised, sold, and shipped his branded gear. He said he was out 2 months of sales income.
