Hahaha I’ve positively compensated a lot. Enough to know that if you shoot a .223 because recoil and quick drop, you have to just cull whitetail does for affirmation about how utterly destructive they are…. 🤣🤣

All jokes aside, I love both at this point lol

I feel attacked I cull red deer. Plus now I have a magnum. 243 is a magnum right... right? 😅

Hahaha in this day and age, yes we’re considering .243 a magnum. Anything over 45gr. of powder and 9ft lbs of recoil is ultra magnum and you need to proceed with caution for any shooting positions other than prone….

I’m a little disappointed, but considering I just through a cheap scope on it and lined it in. Also It’s a little hot out “90” for this load and the 2nd shot the rear bag slipped bullet went left not the guns fault. Christensen Arms receiver PVA 1-7 twist 24” barrel 195 Berger Elite Hunter, Retumbo, WLRM and coal 3.675.
Weight 8.13lb. I started out at 2864 the hotter it got the higher the velocity, 2959 was sticky had to let it cool back down to 2902 last shot. Lot of powder going down the tube for sure.

This was my final send off group from my last real magnum. It was a 10lb 7-300 NMI. 180 hybrids and N565. I just sold it to a good buddy last week, he should kill a pile of stuff with it. The gun/barrel is a straight hammer. Would also smoke every RSS .223…. 🤣🤣🤣

Groups are starting to open up a little. Start focusing on your form. :ROFLMAO:

Thank you Sir, but I’m really not a great paper shooter.
I still have my first gun when I started hunting at 11 years old 8 mm Mauser.
My grandfather brought it back from WWII gave to my father and he gave it to me.
I hunted with this gun until I was 17 we were poor as dirt lol. I killed several deer and bear with it, until I purchased a Win model 70 30-06 at 18 and I still have that gun also.
It is now as it was 50 years ago, I might just shoot a 10 shot group with it in the next couple weeks.

What a cool family heirloom. Sporterized Kar98k?

Thank you Sir, I believe so. I have had it for 50 years my dad 20 years my grandfather maybe 10 years running close to the century mark. My brother has a 30-06 pretty much just like it.

Yes, that’s a very desirable pre-war Mauser. The former collector in me cried a little bit seeing that it had been sporterized. But it makes a great heirloom.

I even heard he has a Tikka 6 Creed with a SWFA scope on it too... Say it ain't so. The guy goes on one hunt with me and suddenly becomes gay as hell. I think you need a hazmat suit for when we meet up this week.
Hahaha being from CA, it was only a matter of time before I fully transitioned 😞🤣

How have you liked it? I have been pretty happy with mine for the money. It’s on my 6.5 creed NRL setup.
Seems like a great scope for the money. Tracks perfect. I don’t have much to say about zero retention, since I haven’t bounced it around enough. I likely WILL NOT hunt with it, because the PR3 reticle is extremely thin. But I bought it for a 6.5 PRC target rifle I recently acquired, and it will be perfect on that gun. I will say, I was shooting it side by side with a maven 5-30X, and it made the maven look DISGUSTING optically. It has a phenomenal image honestly.

Rem 700 clone, fluted bolt, luepold scope, and no finger nail polish...

No fingernail polish is the only thing I got going for me at this point haha.

Q, caught me at a good time.

I went thru great efforts to get this gun down to 10lbs. It's been a .223 Remington night gun since May 2024. Recently switched to a Tikka and a new optic for that activity so this old Pulsar is going on a 10/22 for an armadillo gun.
