I guess I consider myself a deep thinking and I find this whole topic fascinating in that manner. Clearly there is a lot of (not all) disgusting behavior in the look-at-me world of commercialized hunting/fishing/outdoor pursuits. I hope these men are in search of new careers as a consequence of their actions and their sponsors do the right thing like MR did.
I have always found it fascinating that philosophically speaking, that there are parallels between hunting/fishing media and pornography. Both are intimate interactions that nature/god intended to be shared between the participants, yet the modern world has given us the ability to capture the experience for mass consumption. The reaction to said productions is filtered through the experiences and beliefs of the individual viewer, but personally I find 95% of each disgusting.
Meanwhile these fellas were producing within the remaining 5% of what I thought was tasteful cinematic production of hunting and fishing, unlike what you see on tv. But alas, behind the scenes they were still dbags seeking validation at the expense of our shared natural resources. Not everything is as it seems is the lesson here I guess.
