Does anybody here use these arrows and what are your thoughts on them. I've been looking real hard at them but wanted to see if anyone had some field experience with them. If so, are you using the new half out inserts that Black Eagle is now sending out with them or perhaps the Firenock inserts they were recommending before they came out with there own inserts for the arrow. Thanks

I'm shooting the 300 spines with 125gr broadheads and 4" VaneTecs vanes. I have been using the aluminum fire nock insert, but just ordered the new stainless version. I really like these arrows, very accurate and seem durable. Good overall weight, I'm around 460 grain with the new insert. My only game test came two season ago on a whitetail. It was a head on shot, the buck has his head down, I hit at the base of his neck and between the shoulders, clipped the top of the heart and came out the groin. The tip of the arrow broke off as the buck spun and ran. I think it will perform well on elk too, but no field test.

I had two aluminum inserts bed to where they wouldn't fly true with the broadhead. This may be due to our very hard range targets which are stacks of pressed sound board 12" thick. This is why I ordered some of the new stainless inserts.

My favorite thing about them has been accuracy. I have been shooting up lots of vanes

IMO, the advantage to the Rampages is that they'll take a HIT insert. I tried them and like them but I already have three dozen TR Crush 300's that should last me the rest of my hunting life.

Went ahead and ordered a dozen. I already have a package of FireNock Aero Inserts Type A so I will use those with them.

Just curious as to how much your total end price was and what exactly you got?

Thanks!

I ordered directly from Black Eagle and ordered a dozen 300 .001 rampage shafts for $124.99. Shafts came with nocks and their new aluminum half out insert. I will be building the arrows myself. Very quick shipment from them. Was impressed.

What's the GPI?

300 rampage is 8.7 I believe

That is correct. 8.2 for the 350 and 7 for the 400's. I was just playing around with my arrow set-up on a software program and with a TAW around 450 I'll be getting 95 pounds of KE with 16.25 FOC (Steel Inserts) and 309 FPS out of my Bowtech RPM 360. This will be my elk hunting set-up
