Bitcoin

Serious question.

Since BTC is capped at 21 million, what is going to happen when the vast majority of it controlled by just a few entities?

We see MSTR and blackrock have made huge purchases of BTC. What’s to keep them from controlling 80-90% of bitcoin?

Blackrock is purchasing BTC on behalf of shareholders, so it isn’t technically Blackrock’s Bitcoin.

That being said, if one or several entities want to purchase that much BTC, an equal amount needs to be sold. When supply dries up, price will increase to the point it isn’t economical to purchase large volumes of BTC.

Apparently, an OG Bitcoin whale has just moved 80,000 Bitcoin from cold storage to an exchange.
The expectation is that they are about to sell, flooding the market with 80,000 Bitcoin which may result in price drop if they dump all 80k at once.
