Hopefully someone got their hands on the Spartan Javelin to test! I don't think there is a better bipod for light weight backcountry hunting! Would finally like to see someone else review and put one through the paces besides me!

Yeah, from what I can gather I believe the Javelin is going to be the lightweight one to go with.

I've been running one for 3 years now, and love it for my style of hunting. I have written some reviews on other sites from a couple years ago (long range hunting and for Spartan Precision website). If you backpack in somewhere and don't wan't/need the weight of a bipod permanently fixed to the front of your rifle, it's a great piece of kit. Have shot well past 1k now with it and no issues, and in all types of weather. I now have adapter plates on all my rifles (except my comp rifles). Holds up to my 11lb 10oz long range rig as well. Looking forward to reading about the test and seeing what others think! After playing with mine, my circle of friends is slowing adding them to their collections the last couple seasons. Like I said, I have 3 hard seasons on mine (have the first one sent to the US, and now the Mark II).
