Looking for a new pair of 10x42's. I normally would look at the vortex diamondbacks but am wondering if there is something nice in that price range or under $350.00. These are primarly used for whitetail hunting in the timber and 3d course shooting.

At that price point, I would try to get a pair of demo maven c1's for $400 or find a used pair of vipers or similar.

Would you consider a 8x30? Seems useful for what you want to do and you can get better glass at a similar price point.

Whitetails in timber?....8x or possibly 6x...Seems like 10x would be a major handicap for you.
3D-10x with better glass than DiamondBacks.
I have a pair of Sig Zulu7 10x42 in classifieds for not a ton more money.
Wayyy better for what you're trying to do.

The 10x42 listed should be great for the money. Originally 500$ at Cabela's. Made in Japan. I have 8x42 since 2014 and never felt the need to upgrade

Another option to look at in that price range or possibly less, is Nikon Monarch 7. Slightly better than the Vipers, IMO. However, you can’t beat Vortex warranty (even though you may need to use it).

I’ve got some Meopta Meopro HD 10x42 for sale on here if you’re interested. I switched to a 10x50 and no longer need them

I would second the 8x30/40 option, buy used mid tier from a reputable company that stands behind their products
