Big picture research- how many otc elk hunters during deer

Trying to narrow down some potential units for next year in Colorado for deer.

Its easy enough to add up the number of deer tags issued but does anyone know a good way to estimate how many OTC elk hunters are in each unit?

There's really no good way to do that, but you can pull the harvest reports from previous years to see how many hunters reported hunting each unit. CO has voluntary harvest reporting so the stats aren't 100% accurate. It may give you an idea though.

Personally I would not hunt an OTC unit that I would burn points on. I did a few years ago and it was just insane
