Anyone have any experiences with Big Horn Outfitters in NW Co? I have a friend that booked a drop camp hunt with them. They seem legit but I would like to go hunt with my friend in 26 but not if it’s a crap outfit with tons of public pressure. Please pm me with any info of you’d share privately vs on here public. Cant find much reviews from Google. I have until Tuesday to decide. Thanks

3 things:
1- ask for previous clients contact and call them
2- its Colorado public land, yes, its packed
3- set expectations and commitments (what if you friend back out, what will you do)

Best of luck!

Their website says "north of Hayden," so yeah, you should expect company in the mountains.

Then again, maybe they have access across private or something that will give you some space from other DIY hunters.

I don't know what current tag allocations are, but historically they have been pretty high in that area. The Bears Ears herd was, I believe, second in size to the White River river herd.

I know that area was hit pretty hard with winter kill in 23, and due to that, it is no longer an otc tag but draw….just looking for some 1st hand knowledge of the outfitter, I’m assuming you can understand with your previous knowledge of noodles and McMuffins 😜

I talked with those guys a few years back at the GAO show in Harrisburg PA. Father and son duo. They seemed pretty solid and honest. But that's about as much recommendation I can give, I didn't hunt with them.
