big coyotes

I think back east here, the coyotes are crossbreeding with wolves and maybe German Shepards. Not uncommon to see 50+ pounders with many going 60 and above.
Last February I tagged one at 50+ lbs

47.3# in central PA was my biggest. Friend just shot 49.6# this past weekend. I'd say we avg 37-40# dogs.

I shot a big male while quail hunting near a turkey farm. It was big enough that I packed it out a mile so I could weigh it. 42 lbs in central washington. I have killed several hundred and doubt I ever broke the 40 pound mark on any others.

When you weigh it, hook the scales behind the tendon, or tell us how much to subtract for chain and gambrel 😂

Two years ago my hunting partner and I shot a mangy male that weighed 52.4 lbs
I can assure you the weight was correct as we were in a contest and that won us almost 15k dollars.

friend that traps my property in the Piedmont of SC trapped one the other day that weighed 49 pounds. I’d had pictures of him and knew he was big. But based on a google search (that turned up this thread) that’s a huge one for my area
