Big bore Air Rifle vs Pistol Caliber Rifle

Look at the savage bolt action slug guns. Everything I’ve heard about them is positive. They have rifled barrels and should give you centerfire-like accuracy out to say 200yds or so.

Shooting deer with pistol calibers wouldn’t be my first choice.

Congrats. A good scope and mount is more important than the gun it is mounted on. It doesn't take fine accuracy and three thousand pounds of energy to take out a deer's lungs.
