It’s been awhile since we’ve seen some trailcam pics. Nothing huge this year but I have a high country camera I’m excited to get this spring.

He is chunky. I’d be interested to know how old he is. I’m wondering if he’s on the decline or just genetically a super fork.

It’s hard to say but I’d guess he 4.5 - 5.5 years old. He’s definitely a mature deer but I don’t believe bucks revert that drastically very often. In the last 5 deer seasons I’ve killed three forkies. Two were 5.5 and one was 7.5 years old. Big, mature bucks that were never anything but forkies.

He’s a super cool buck no matter what! I love those big forkies.

Biggest buck on camera to date!

kidding of course.
I put 4 cameras in this patch of timber in hopes of getting good footage of mature bucks during the rut.
so far, everything but a mature buck...
elk, bears, bobcat, does and little bucks...
with the weird weather I may not get any buck pics this year.
I'll find out in May...

Love seeing the pics you guys are sharing. Those fatty yard bucks are sure cool.

Not a biggun but a good up and comer..

I pursued a buck I’m confident would go B&C all season right around this camera and never once have gotten a picture of him.. despite bumping him out of one of his beds only 60 feet from this camera. Really made me realize that you can have a camera in an area with big bucks, but if it’s on the trail you’ll never see him..
