I'm a stand hunter in SC. Most of the stands on my hunting club are making use of existing clearing, atv trails, and utilities right-of-ways so we have to make use of the shooting lanes we have. We have a few stands where I'm getting completely washed out either right after or before sunrise/set and it's cutting my hunts short because I get so much glare I can't even see to take a shot. I run a sunshade on a SWFA 10x42 and it helps some, but the sun angle is too extreme. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions other than just abandoning those stands?
