I tried out my Sawyer system this weekend and was once again struck by how I don't have a good way of drying this stuff out.

Any tips?

The bladder is easy, pull a couple papertowels still linked together and stuff loosely inside you bladder leaving 1/3 outside. Hang upside down and the paper towel wicks the last remaining moisture out of the bladder.

Store the filter standing up. It'll drain. Everything else I put in the freezer until the next trip.

Same bladder for 7 years and i've never dried it.....i put it in the fridge after every use and have never had an issue or mold. But i also only use water in it.

The things you learn on this forum. Paper towel wicks and the freezer...Genius! Just going through this same dilemma with my Dromlite. Thanks fellas.

I just drop them onto broom handles in garage. Keeps them propped open and they dry in a day this time of year.

I hang the bladder up to dry for a couple days. My msr mini filter is taking apart and left to air dry.

I have a few Platypus bladders with the small top opening that are almost impossible to get a paper towel into. A small fish tank air pump will dry them out overnight.
