Best value on 0 and 20 degree bags

WM will not be the cheapest, but the quality is excellent. I have seen it down to the single digits in mid Oct in WY, so I would lean more towards a 0 degree bag for late Oct, if you are planning to buy only 1 bag

Western Mountaineering. They make excellent (many would argue they are the best) down bags. Use the 'search' tool and you will find dozens of threads about WM down bags.

Outdoor vitals. Treated 800+ down and lifetime warranty. 20 degree is less than $200 and 0 degree is less than $250. I have the older, untreated one and have had good luck with it.
