Is there a better design in the tipi/pyramid for wind and snow? I don’t need the absolute lightest but want a good durable shelter. Argali, Seek and Peax are all similar with small differences.

I'll give you my 2 cents...

I've had a couple tipis including one I made and have used them in Alaska winds on multiple occasions. Tipis shed wind better than anything else I've ever seen.

The trick is to keep them pitched tight. They shed wind effortlessly when taught...they can catch the wind a little when shrunk down.

So best in the wind will be one made from no shrink fabric- read DCF.

plus its slippery so the snow will have a harder time building up.

To be honest no teepee is meant for high wind. You can mitigate with a tight pitch. There is a reason that ZERO Mountaineering companies use a teepee design. They will not meet the wind design requirements to be rated.

As for teepee tents the more tie out points the better. Can't advise on a brand.
