I took a Bibler Eldorado on a Chugach sheep hunt years ago and endured some serious wind. The poles are fairly flexible and the tent was basically laying down on top of me, but the poles never broke and I stayed dry. The tent stood back up as the wind died down and was good as new.I’m curious if there’s any Bibler users out there, how they’ve compared to the various Hilliberg tents in extreme winds.
I've been happy with mine. It has done well on sheep hunts and goat hunts on Kodiak.Well after much research, money played a bigger factor and weight. I ended up with a Kuiu 2p mountain star. Kuiu is have a huge sale and got the tent for 40% off. $340 for the set. I had met with the rep and was able to set it up and take a good look.
