Wanting opinions on a good holster for my side arm.
Carrying a block model 40 in 10mm 6 inch barrel
Using a MR metcalf pack.
Anyone have a similar set up that they wanna share?

Blade-tech with tek lok. Attaches secure, yet removes easily from pack if you want to switch it over and carry on your belt.

I went with a chest holster from clarkforkleather.com for my 10mm. I can wear my pack with it and pistol is always available. I really like the set up.

I wear an inexpensive cordura chest holster when I'm not wearing a pack, and a Blackhawk Sherpa with the Mollie plate on my Kifaru. Both setups work great.

Bravo Concealment is what you are looking for. They have Molle attachment for your waist band and the holster will attach to that. Then you can transfer you holster to our waist or to your battle belt.

I just got an alpha concealment holster and it fits my Exo and kuiu well and it's secure enough I'm not worried about it falling out if I slide down a hill. You can adjust the tension also.

For you guys that like "kit bags", whether they be HPG or Kifaru, what do you do with your binos?

belt pouch, or shoved in the front pocket of the kit bag.
Original kit bag can hold a full sized handgun, smallish binos, GPS, maps, and still have room for a snack.

Let me "rephrase" that...(because I'd love to go the kit bag route)...For you guys that like "kit bags", whether they be HPG or Kifaru, what do you do with your NORMAL to OVER SIZED binos? The belt pouch isn't really handy for binos and I can't imagine shoving a full size pair of binos in the front pocket. Until there is a viable solution for binos with these kit bags, I can't see them being an option for a mountain hunter.

Guys on the other thread don't seem to mind:

I've tried every kit bag/chest or gut-carry setup I can find. The simple fact is that I find them obtrusive, though that's just me and not necessarily anyone else. I want my chest and body-front free and uncluttered. I am basically just tolerant of binoculars in front and that's where it stops.

My holster is a Bianchi UMR that fits my 329PD nicely. I wear it clipped to my pack's hip belt, and prefer the gun to be on the front of my hip instead of the side.
