Best rest? Vapor trail vs qad?

Well, I wanted a vapor trail but found a smokin deal on a brand new in box QAD mx2. And here we are 🤦🏻

I have heard their warranty and customer service is great so I’m sure they’ll make it right but slightly annoying.

CS got with me today and said they’d repair it for free, I just had to pay for shipping to them and it would be a 2 week turn around. Pretty frustrating for a brand new unit and to have this bow I’ve been waiting to build be down again. Guess I will see if my local shop will do an exchange off the shelf for me. But, lesson learned on QAD

I've had two QAD fail on me. I prefer Hamskea and also the AAE Prophecy. I've never had any issues with either.

The new Hamskea R7 looks great, especially for the bows that have integrate ability for the rest.

I have three Vaportrail Gen7 rests on both my Bowtech’s and my wife’s BT Solution SS. All have been great with varying amounts of regular use on each. One on my primary bow has been on since 2020, haven’t ever had an issue. I haven’t noticed them be finicky at all to taper tune, haven’t ever worried about timing the rest either (if that’s even a thing). The posts on here about cracked mounting bracket is news to me 🤷‍♂️ probably something to be cautious of.

The only thing I don’t like is they didn’t come out of the box capable of attaching to the bottom limb with the activation chord, and kinda bulky. If you have a bow with easy cam micro- tuning adjustments, I haven’t found a need for a micro adjust rest so the VT has been great for me. I have tuned a couple bows for buddies of mine and I do prefer the limb driven rests personally.

Vapor trial told me 45 bucks to replace the broken rest. No thanks. Quick switch the trusty biscuit and stacking bareshafts with fletched and broadheads at 30. I’m good lol.

People hate on biscuits but man it’s silent compared to the vapor trail. Guessing it was getting louder since it was cracked? Idk but since I normally hunt with the stickbows off the shelf, I’m staying with the biscuit!!!

Ya, I'm a drop-away guy but the Whisker Biscuit is truly under rated. Whenever I head to the mountains I carry one to camp with me in case of failure of my drop away. It is a simple swap and a quick tune if my drop away can't be field expediently fixed.

Shot an epsilon or a year now, love it, also loved my qad. If your not shooting a helical I loved my busciut too. If I had to choose one like I did a year ago, epsilon.

Having owned VT, QAD, NAP, and who knows what else... the only rest that I would consider, and may even try someday, besides a Hamskea is the AAE Prophecy. My only complaint about my Epsilon is the "mushy" clicks for microadjust and the backlash when changing direction. But that is all supposed to be fixed on the new R7. Hamskea for me.
