13B is a tag I likely will never draw, but would love to. My mistake for not putting in for a deer tag all the years that I applied for elk tags there.
Most of the year to year best units are well known and short draw odds as it is. Especially on "the Gram". All of which have been mentioned here already, and I would throw in 2B/2C/Jicarilla Rez in NM. Really almost any unit in Colorado could spit out a Booner any given year. At least they could before this and next year's seasons. I believe the biggest deer killed in Utah last year came off a general unit, not the Paunsaugunt or Henry's.
One day I might get lucky and draw the Strip or the Henry Mts. But probably not. Until then, my favorite tag is the one in my pocket.
Take a look at the recent B&C books. Saskatchewan is incredible for high scoring typicals and nontypicals! Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Canada nonres can't hunt mule deer...not even with a guide!
